Wheelchair basketball is one of the most action-packed wheelchair sports; its rules differ very little from those of standard basketball. It is played by people with and without disabilities together, making it an ideal inclusive sport. The challenge—and the unique appeal—lies in simultaneously mastering the wheelchair and the ball.
Objective:
Ball skills training (passing, dribbling, various shooting techniques) and learning how to properly handle a sports wheelchair. Tactical drills, such as setting screens and team coordination. Teaching the rules of the game. Explaining the significance of wheelchair basketball at national and international levels (league play, national teams).
Note:
An interest in discovering a new piece of sports equipment alongside people with or without disabilities. Sport for everyone! Wheelchairs are provided.
